A professional writer is an amateur who didn’t quit.” — Richard Bach
WRITE FOR US
Hi guys - Wanderlusters and Creatives alike! We're on the hunt for regular and guest bloggers to add to our growing content surrounding all things travel and creativity, and heck anything that inspires! This is what we write about as this is what makes up who we are and what our potential customers love. The content we post is ongoing and all year round, this means: before, during and after our projects run.
An opportunity to write for us means a chance to build your writers portfolio and reach readers on a global platform; after all we market to the world. Our requirements are this: creative thinkers who are fluent in English, are passionate, diverse in perspective and skilled in structuring easy to follow pieces. What makes blogs so amazing is the accessibility and digestibility of the writing - able to read by millions, easy to read, inform and also to inspire - hey there is plenty more but these are my favourites reasons.
How it works - the way our blogs or articles work is they are topic-specific, but open to suggestions and some personal stories about how travel changed you. After we provisionally accept a writer we will ask them to write a blog on the topic we provide and see how they go. Ongoing regular writers will write 2 to 4 blogs per month, depending on their own schedules and what we require. Guest writers will do 1 blog per month. Topics are sent out once a month, completed within the provided template and by the deadline provided. Along with the topic and deadline, sometimes we will provide a maximum word-count, recommendation to include relevant images, structure ideas or links to check out. It is integral that no matter which topic you are provided, that the information be well-researched, accurate and non-superfluous, this is true for any links that you also include. All blogs must be read before send off and checked for grammar etc. These are then reviewed and posted by Court Jeremiah (WCR Director).
We are specifically seeking individuals who are not professional writers but those wanting to build a portfolio up. We know first-hand how difficult it is to break into the world of Freelance with no real portfolio to showcase what you can do, that is why we offer this opportunity and provide testimonials to our writers.
Those seriously interested please email us at Wanderlustcityreview@hotmail.com to discuss further - in your subject line please write "Write for WCR", include a short 'cover-letter' style paragraph about any experience and why you want to write for us, don't forget to attach an example of a blog piece you have written before on travel or creativity - no more than 800 words.
We look forward to seeing what you got!! Court Jeremiah, Director of WCR.
